About the Vista Maria case
Attorney Michael Jaafar and our legal team are currently gathering information from former Vista Maria residents who believe they were harmed or mistreated while in the program. On November 5, 2025, our office announced that we are preparing litigation based on multiple reports of abuse.
Vista Maria has also stated that its Dearborn Heights residential program will close later in 2025. As more individuals come forward, we are working to document their experiences, preserve evidence, and determine the appropriate legal steps.
